Hi all, I just wanted to stop in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever holiday you might celebrate!

My little monkey turned 1 last friday and he has been keeping me extremely busy as you can imagine. He just started walking as well so he's trying to get into everything. I haven't had much time in the "arting" department and thats ok as I haven't had much inspiration anyway. ;P My subscription ran out too and I can't bring myself to visit too often here since I cannot stand adds. lol. I may resubscribe again if I find I have more time to pixel.

I did want to thank everyone for the favs and I apologize for not getting around to visit and thank y'all personally.

On a different subject... after seeing the Broadway version of "Wicked" this past summer I wanted to read the book it was based after. If anyone out there has seen and loved the musical I highly recommend reading the book as well. They are as different as night and day (just like most books turned to movies) but it is a really great read! Even if you haven't seen the show but are a fan of The Wizard of Oz yoy should definately check it out anyway. You will NEVER see the movie in the same way again!

Dear neglected muse,

Journal Entry: Thu Sep 24, 2009, 7:15 AM
I am so sorry I have let you become lost and dusty up there in my brain over these past months.
My real life just has not allowed me the priviledge of letting you come out and play very often.

Wow! I can't believe I haven't updated this journal since February. Well, to be honest there wasn't really anything exciting to update about. The baby (spoiled rotten to the core) has kept me busy and I just haven't had much to share.
I have done a few pixels here and there for the site Whuddleworld.com but otherwise I'm not too productive on the computer.
I have been dabbling again in polymer clay charm making. Mostly to provide a cheap and creative gift source. I was thinking of posting a few here and maybe opening an Esty shop to get rid of my access. I know, I know...its so DONE already. Oh well, I said maybe.

T.V is rotting my brain! Since my 6 week old has to be held though probably 80-85% of my waking hours its really all I've been doing lately. Me and him are gonna make a trip to the library to pick up some books in the next couple of days. I'd much rather spend the time actually doing something that doesn't kill brain cells.

I need some good book suggestions from you guys. I'm pretty open minded with what I read...I read it all. My favorite genre is scifi/horror, vampires and that sorta stuff. Twilight isn't my thing and Laurell K. Hamilton just got to raunchy for me so if you have any other well known, well written vampire novels/series let me know.

I really like humor as well. Janet Evonavich writes some really laugh out loud stuff so anything like that is welcome.

Anything you think I MUST read! Your favorites no matter what the subject and genre is.

Its Obama's first full day in office as the president of the United States and I'm feeling very hopeful. Maybe the mans not a miracle worker but I have faith he is what we need to fix whats wrong with our country. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but evenually I believe. The start of a fix at least.
Yesterday watching the events leading up to and then the inauguration itself I was feeling very emotional. I don't know if it was seeing the images of the crowd and such diversity and the peacefulness or maybe it was the interviews, more specific that of a 100 year old African American man and the tears of the suffering of his past and of the hopefulness of the future. I felt relief and pride in America. Its a very exciting time.

In other news... Tattoo Time! Yayyy! Now that baby is here I can finally look forward to getting a new much anticipated tattoo. Especially after the jealousy I suffered watching my hubby get not 1 but 2 new ones during my pregnancy and craving a new one of my own. Its not the design I've had in mind all this time, but maybe my most personal yet.
After receiving a baby safe stamping kit from a friend we took baby Gabriel's tiny foot and hand prints and I got struck with the want to have one inked on me. So his itty bitty handprint along with his name in a tiny script will be my newest addtion to my tattoo collection. I'm soooo excited! Since i've decided against getting ink in anymore visible locations I've opted to have it done on my back in the middle just below the neckline. My birthday is coming February 5th (along with my anniversary on 1/30) so its settled to be done soon. I can't wait to get pics of it.
